NYS Childcare Navigator

The Early Care & Learning Council, together with regional Child Care Resource Centers have partnered with the NY Regional Economic Development Councils to better understand employer benefits available to employees in counties throughout New York.

The following employer survey will help state and local policymakers and economic development staff better understand parent access to an array of employer benefits, particularly those that support working families with caregiving needs. This survey is an initiative tied to the creation of The Business Navigator: A Child Care Toolkit for New York State Employers. The attached document contains more information about the toolkit and Governor Hochul’s commitment to help interested businesses identify options to support employees’ child care needs.

Employer-sponsored child care is an investment in the workforce that can yield significant returns. Providing employer-sponsored child care solutions can reduce turnover, increase productivity, attract talent, reduce absenteeism, and enhance the overall workplace culture.  And it’s not just for large companies—there are solutions available even for the smallest businesses across New York State.

Please take a moment to respond.  The survey is short. It will take 8-10 minutes to complete.

All responses will be reported only for aggregate results statewide and by community.

In addition, if your company is already a child care champion, we want to know.  To be spotlighted as a Child Care Champion in the Business Navigator Toolkit, please share you contact information in the very last survey question, and a member of ECLC or CCRN will be in touch to gather more details.
