Chamber Update for the Week!

We just completed the 2nd full week of 2023!  It is hard to believe that we are 13 days in! It's Friday the 13th today with fresh snow on the ground!

What have we been up to this week?

~Suzanne has been working on making sure our Health Insurance members have all of their updated information for the new year.   Do you need health insurance options?   Contact Suzanne! suzanne@niagarariverregion.com

~Our Chamber and region was represented at the WNY Chamber Alliance Meeting on Monday.  This is a monthly meeting of Chamber Executives from WNY sharing best practices and what is going on in their region.

~Suzanne and Jennifer met with a consultant to help us with our Membership Tiers.  We are looking forward to showcasing our new membership tiers in February!  Our Chairman of the Board and myself will be meeting with Kyle our consultant again today (Friday) as we set the strategic plan for the Chamber!

~Suzanne and I met with Michael Hibbard to start planning the Jazz Festival!  As you know our Main Stage is at the corner of 4th and Center Street and we enjoy working with Michael and his corner business to make sure the event is a success for all!

~Suzanne and I, along with our Chairman Matt met with Meredith from Riveter Design to go over research findings from them surveying our members.  We went through 33 pages of really interesting stuff to help move our rebrand forward!  Stay tuned...! So much to come!

~We had TWO board meetings this week!  The Chamber Board met with a great meeting introducing our new board members and setting the course for the  year!  We have a Board retreat on Jan 26 with a day full of strategic planning.   The Jazz Festival Board of Directors also met this week and we look forward to a DYNAMIC festival this year with AMAZING headliner performances!

~I serve on the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo as the Niagara Area Foundation representative. I also serve on the Community Impact Committee and had my first meeting in Buffalo.

~We had a new member join this week!  Welcome "This Must Be the Place" guesthouse in Youngstown, NY.  It's a beautifully restored 1850 home with 5 bedrooms and 5 baths available through AirBNB and BRBO!

Our office is closed on Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and will reopen on Tuesday at 8am!

Have a great weekend!
